From Bangkok temples to the paradise of Khao Sok National Park to wild islands parties, we’ll show you the very best of Thailand on our epic 11 day / 10 night Thailand Backpacker Adventure Tour. We start in Bangkok and take the sleeper train to Khao Sok, where we sleep on floating raft houses & at our jungle resort. We then head South to Koh Phi Phi Bay before ending our tour in Koh Phangan! The Thailand Backpacker Adventure Tour lasts 11 days & 10 nights with start dates throughout the year, generally starting every other Monday. All departures are guaranteed!

 

This trip is perfect if you’re looking for a Thailand adventure with new friends. You should have a sense for adventure, be curious to learn about new cultures and like to experience something different. Most people travel solo or with a buddy and are between 18 and 35 years old.

Day 1-3: Arrive in Bangkok
Your arrival in Bangkok will be easy! Our driver will meet you at the airport and drive you to our accommodation near Khao San Road in the heart of Bangkok. Later, meet the rest of your group and your Ultimate Thailand group leader at our welcome dinner. Afterwards we hit the town for a night of fun at our favourite Bangkok nightlife spots! Today your tour leader will show you the best of Bangkok with a guided tour of Bangkok’s temples, river and markets. Explore the Dawn Temple ‘Wat Arun’, riverside markets and the amazing Reclining Buddha Temple ‘Wat Pho’. That evening we meet again for another fun night on the town! The morning is yours to sleep in, relax, go exploring or head to Bangkok’s famous floating markets. That evening we catch the overnight train to Surat Thani in Southern Thailand. The overnight train is loads of fun. Grab some dinner on the train, sleep in your own comfy bed and wake up refreshed for a day in the jungle.

Day 4: Khao Sok Lake & Jungle
Today we travel by longtail boat to our floating rafthouses on the lake, hidden deep in the rainforest of Khao Sok National Park. Spot wildlife, swim in the lake, go kayaking or relax and take in your amazing surroundings! This evening we’ll enjoy a tasty Thai dinner with fish caught for us fresh from the lake.

Day 5: Jungle Village
Wake up in your bamboo raft house to the sound of monkeys in the treetops! After breakfast we head out on a river cruise and trek through the jungle exploring the many hidden caves before travelling to our next stop. Visit some baby monkeys in the wild and check out our favourite Thai reggae bar for dinner and drinks.

Day 6-7: Koh Phi Phi
Today we arrive at the beautiful island of Koh Phi Phi for two nights of tropical island fun! Tonight we’ll take you to our favourite beach bars on the island to watch the world famous beach fire shows! It’s time to explore Koh Phi Phi on a private boat tour of the island! We'll explore the area and stop off at some of the islands best snorkel spots where we'll come across tropical fish on the limestone reefs. Soak up the sun and take in the stunning surroundings! That evening, we’ll hike to the island’s famous viewpoint for sunset before heading to the beach for dinner, music and drinks.

Day 8-10: Koh Phangan
Today we travel to the famous party island of Koh Phangan. Our accommodation is located right near the beach! Soak up the sun on the sand or check out some of Koh Phangan’s awesome island activities. We’ll spend our evenings sipping on cocktails, seeing some amazing sunsets and enjoying the nightlife! The next day is yours to relax by the pool, swim at the beach, go snorkelling, kayaking or explore Koh Phangan and Haad Rin. If you wish, we can arrange day activities for you like cooking lessons, Muay Thai boxing, massage and yoga. This evening we meet up for dinner and enjoy our last night on the islands!

Day 11: Travel On!
Today is the last day of your tour! It's time to check out and say your last goodbyes to your new-found travel buddies. After our amazing 11 day adventure, we’ll help you make arrangements for the next leg of your trip - stay for any of the famous island parties, head back to Bangkok, travel north to Chiang Mai or go diving in Koh Tao! If you’d like to extend your Southeast Asia adventure, join us on another ULTIMATE tour in Bali or Vietnam! Whatever your plans, we’ll make it easy!

During this Thailand group tour, you'll be staying in twin and triple share accommodation in centrally located hotels with great facilities and in a shared hostel whilst in Kho Phangan. Our accommodation includes a Bangkok guesthouse, Floating Rafthouse, waterfront hotel and Island hostel. Private rooms upgrades are available.
